Dr. Maheshkumar P. Purohit is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and practicing since last the 25 years in Mumbai Borivali (w). Dr. Purohit graduated from Grant Medical College JJ Hospital Mumbai in the year 1981 and completed his post Graduation from Grant Medical College JJ Hospital in the year 1984. He worked in ESIS Hospital Kandivali for 3 years. In 1987 Dr Purohit started Purohit Medical Centre. Currently there are 40 consultants practicing in this centre.

In 1993 Dr Purohit started Purohit multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai Borivali (w) it is well equipped with latest technology where all major operations such as Cancer surgery, Orthopaedic surgery, Urology surgery. Gynaec surgery Ophthalmic surgery, Plastic surgery, Neuro surgery etc are being carried out. He has philanthropic approach to patients . It is Dr. Purohit ‘s Mission to provide Health Services with a personalized touch in a homely atmosphere, with quality care in all the areas of Medicine and surgeries. Since the last 25 years he has established himself as a pioneer in healthcare management with his personalized services.

Humanitarian work

• Helped Kutch Gujarat Earthquake affected Patients. The morning of 26th January 2001 was a ‘Black Friday’ while the nation was saluting the tricolor , little did any one know that by noon it would be soaked in blood and humanity would drown in misery, mourning for its worst ever Earthquake whose magnitude was unprecedented. The death & destruction caused was never seen by the world before. Dr. M. P. Purohit & his team initiated rescue & relief operation. Realising the gravity of situation Dr. M. P. Purohit shifted 60 patients & their relatives from Kutch Gujarat to Mumbai for the complete treatment and care ( totally free of charge) and rehabilitated them back to Kutch Gujarat their native place. Many dignitaries have visited Purohit Hospital to see and appreciate the great humanitarion work.
